William L. Stephens, Jr.

William L. Stephens, Jr., 60, passed away at his home in Derwood, MD on October 14, 2018. He is survived by his mother, Nicole Vella Stephens, and his wife of 32 years, Kathleen Brady Stephens. He is also survived by his three children, Thaddeus Stephens of New York, Leigh Stephens of Washington, DC, and Portia Stephens of California, as well as his granddaughter, Fiona. He is also survived by his sisters, Lynn Young and Annmarie MacBride, his brother, John Stephens, and many nieces and nephews.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and he warmly welcomed his children’s partners into the family. He was a caring son and brother. He filled his life with cherished family time and challenging hobbies.

Relatives and friends may visit on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm at the Roy W. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD 20882. A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Leisure World Inter-Faith Chapel, 3680 S. Leisure World Boulevard, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
