William G. Linthicum, Jr.

William G. Linthicum, Jr. "Willie", 87 of Rockville, MD died on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, June Arlene.

Willie was born March 4, 1934 in Clarksburg, MD.

He was a Korean War veteran and continued to serve in the Army - Sgt. First Class until he retired. He worked over 30 years for Safeway.

He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Rockville Moose Lodge.

His greatest love was his family.

Surviving is a son, William G. Linthicum III "Bill" and his wife Chris, a daughter, Lorre Linthicum Queen and husband Kenny, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and soon to be a 6th little girl named Addison. 

He was predeceased by a daughter, Wanda Jean Linkins and grandson, James "Tony" Linkins. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 2pm to 4pm at the Roy W. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD 20882.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. Jen Fenner officiating.

Interment will follow at Laytonsville United Methodist Cemetery.
