Steven Franklin Bready
Steve Bready of Silver Spring, MD passed away peacefully Monday morning, November 14, 2022. He was born in Washington, DC at Sealy Hospital on October 4, 1951. Steve is survived by his mother, Dorothy; brother and his wife, Mark and Beth; two nephews and their wives, David & Christy and Chris & Amanda; and one niece and her husband, Cheryl & Ben. Steve also has two great nieces, Evelyn & Dorothy and two great nephews, James and Grant. He is predeceased by his father, David F. Bready and his sister, Sandra Bready Mathis.
Steve graduated from Peary High School and continued his education at Florida Southern College. After graduation, he went to work for Duron Paint and joined Sherwin Williams later in his career. Overall, he worked in the paint business for over 40 years. Steve was very active in the Olney Lions Club, running the Pancake Supper for numerous years. He also served as an usher at Oakdale Emory United Methodist Church and was a member of the Methodist Men. Steve loved his sports, attending Redskins games and Nationals games. He also played sports, being active for many years in softball and bowling leagues. Collecting sports and presidential memorabilia was something Steve enjoyed doing. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle and a loyal friend. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends may visit on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 10 am to 11 am at Oakdale Church, 3425 Emory Church Road, Olney, MD 20832. Funeral Services will start at 11 am at Oakdale Church.
