Michael Bucheimer Obituary

Michael Preston Bucheimer, aged 64 and a Senior Mechanic in Montgomery County Transit, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, following a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Rockville and Gaithersburg and was born on May 14, 1959, to George E. Bucheimer and Mary Patricia Atwood-Bucheimer, both of whom preceded him in death.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Christine Donati-Bucheimer, and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly. Michael was known for his kindness, compassion, fortitude, and love for those around him. He devoted his life to his loved ones, and his loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Michael is also survived by his daughter, Sara Knutson, and his grandson, Graham Knudson, in Portland, Oregon, as well as a niece and several cousins.

A memorial lunch to celebrate Michael's life will be held at a later date with those who knew him well. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Michael's name be directed to the charity of one's choice.
