Barbara Jean Brown

Barbara Jean Brown, 73, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013.  She was an R.N. and specialized in geriatric nursing for more than 40 years.  She was well known for her kindness, compassion and most of all, her cooking and baking.  She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Denny F. Brown, her daughters Elizabeth and Michelle Brown, her son, Denny A. Brown, her four grandchildren, Lauren Brown, Kaitlyn and Zachary Faircloth, Elizabeth Slyconish, her sisters Martha Christine Johnson and Mary Lynn Bean, and brother Carl Kreyenbuhl.  The family will be receiving friends and family at the Roy W. Barber Funeral (21525 Laytonsville Rd. Laytonsville, MD 20882) on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 between 2pm and 4 pm, with a memorial service being held directly afterwards.  There will be a gathering of family and friends for light fare at St. Pauls United Methodist Church (21720 Laytonsville Rd. Laytonsville, MD 20882) following the memorial service.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Diabetes Association.
