Anne M. Willson

Anne M. Willson passed away March 18, 2023. She was 87 years old. Anne was born December 21, 1935, in Flushing, New York. She attended the University of Miami, graduating 2nd in her class with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She started her career singing on and off Broadway where she met her husband, Frank F. Willson, Jr. Anne was an active member with the Women’s Board for Montgomery General Hospital (Medstar), Montgomery General Thrift and Gift Shops for Medstar. Anne was a member of the Sandy Spring Garden Club and a member of the Olney Theatre. She enjoyed singing with the choir for St. Peter’s Church and spent most of her life volunteering. She loved celebrating every holiday with family and friends, dressing up and decorating her home from top to bottom. Her biggest love were her children, Frank III, Missy and John Willson along with her grandchildren Robert Gilroy, Frank Willson IV, Tyler Willson, Ryan Willson, Jonathan Kronlage and Elizabeth Kronlage and her great-grandchildren, Sandy, Ellen and Jodie Willson.

A viewing will be held at Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Rd, Laytonsville, MD on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 3-5pm. Service will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 2900 Olney Sandy Spring Rd, Sandy Spring, MD, on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 11:00 am. In memory of Anne, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Society, and the Women’s Board of Medstar Montgomery.
