Alma Joann Carpenter
  February 18, 1942 - January 17, 2021
 

Daughter of the late James E. Keller and Roxie B. Curfman.

Joann went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2021 at age 78.
She passed away at Medstar Hospital in DC. She worked for MCPS for 35
years, she loved her job and her students.
Alma Joann Carpenter was born February 18, 1942 in Mt. Morris county PA.
She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, She
is survived by her son Joseph I. Carpenter and his wife Angie of
Hagerstown MD and her daughter Sonia D. Carpenter of Harpers Ferry WV.
Also survived by 7 grandchildren Jennifer M. Dodd, her wife Julia,
Joseph L. Carpenter and his wife Deanna, Chad A. Carpenter, Tess M.
Bennett her husband Steven, James M. Mallis, Valerie D. Mallis and
Beth A. Mallis.
6 1/2 Great grandchildren Preceded in Death Kylee J. Bennett, Survived
by Trystan Carpenter, Joseph "little Joey" Carpenter, Savannah
Carpenter, Andrew Mallis, Drake Lowery and half Pint is on "his" way.
13 brothers and sisters, Preceded in Death sister Wilma Keller,
brothers Robert  Keller and Chuck Keller, Survived by, brothers Paul
Keller, John Keller, Donald Keller, Ronald Keller, Richard Keller
Sisters Patricia Rogers, Ruby Rider, Doris Braun, Barbra Wise,
her nieces and nephews; and the rest of her family and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11am at All Souls Cemetery, 11401 Brink Rd., Germantown, MD 20876.
