William S. “Bill” Moore passed away suddenly at his residence in Mt. Airy, MD on Saturday, July 20. He was 56-years old. A native Marylander, Bill was born in Baltimore and grew up in Sunshine, MD, the son of Earl Curtis and Frances Marine Moore (both deceased). Known most recently for owning and managing “The Grill at Flower Hill,” he had a passion for well-prepared food and for fostering a welcoming environment that helped bring people together to celebrate life. Bill cared about people. As a result, the Grill had many loyal patrons who responded in-kind to him and his establishment, and he had a great and lasting impact on many lives. He always strived to be the best at whatever he did, exerting this same thoughtful get-up-and-go in various other fields of work over the years. Bill’s siblings and in-laws include Monica Erdle (Nick), Tim Moore (Deceased) (Kate), Jon Moore, Connie Nash, and Robert Moore (Paula). A viewing is scheduled for Sunday, July 28, 2-5:00 PM, at Roy W. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Road, Laytonsville, MD | 301-948-3500—followed by a graveside funeral service and interment on Monday, July 29 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 3067 Mt Carmel Cemetery Rd., Sunshine, MD. Feel free to leave your memory of Bill here.
