Wanda Lee Embrey

Ms. Wanda Lee Embrey, 77 of Frederick, MD and formerly of Monrovia, MD entered the gates of Heaven on February 23, 2025. 

Ms. Embrey worked in the banking industry for 50 years and retired from M&T Bank. She was a devoted member of the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren where she served in various capacities as a Deacon, Organist, Choir singer, Ladies Aid and Treasurer. Ms. Embrey was active in the 4-H community serving as a 4-H Club leader; judge for Frederick Fair; member of the Frederick County 4-H All Star and member of the Maryland 4-H All Star. She was a Life member of Montgomery County Agricultural Center. She loved to cook, sew and take care of her pets. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace M. Embrey and Ethel F. Embrey and her devoted companion Lilly. 

Ms. Embrey is loved and survived by many cousins; her best friends Pat Hoover and Rick and Judy Regnier; and her goddaughter Julie Pippel (Jeff). 

Relatives and friends may visit on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm at the Roy W. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD 20882. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 11am at Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, 4821 Green Valley Rd., Monrovia, MD 21770, with a visitation an hour before the service, starting at 10am. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, Pleasant Hill Cemetery and Maryland 4-H All Stars.
