Thelma Mae Twigg passed away peacefully at home with her cats Thor and Prince by her side in Thurmont, Maryland at the age of 91.
Daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth Mae Calloway.
She is survived by her sister Dot Ganley of Florida and two sons Thomas and Gerald. Also survived by four grandchildren, Thomas Jr. Paul, JT, Madeline and six great grandchildren, Hailey, Chole , Natalie , Aria , Trevor and Gwyneth.
Thelma was born in High Point North Carolina and graduated from Gaithersburg HS.
She began working at her fathers restaurant (Calloways) in Gaithersburg Maryland and met her husband Paul Twigg, Maryland State Trooper and fell in love and was married in 1956.
She retired from the Department of Energy after 42 years of outstanding service.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 10am to 12pm at the Roy W. Barber Funeral Home in Laytonsville, MD.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends may donate to the local SPCA in Frederick, Maryland.
