Obituary

Rudolph "Rudy" Alan Falle, 86, of Rockville, MD passed away suddenly on November 8, 2022.  Born on October 2, 1936 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Margaret (Saewert) Falle.  He was drafted into the U.S. Army, and after serving moved to the DC area for job opportunities in the data processing field in 1960 where he met his wife, Leta Ann, both working at Blue Cross.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Clay and her husband John and three granddaughters, Julia, Miranda and Diana; and his daughter, Sandra McDarby and her husband Matthew and three granddaughters, Maggie, Clare, Colleen; and one grandson, Thomas.  Rudy is survived by a sister, Betty Falle, of Watertown, Massachusetts. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of fifty years, Leta Ann (Leith), who passed away in 2016.

After working as a systems analyst/engineer during his IT career at IBM, Loral, and Lockheed Martin, Rudy looked forward to retirement. Rudy enjoyed spending time with his seven grandchildren, going to all their activities.  He was a very giving person, and made sure every grandchild felt special and loved.  He always made sure the family was together for summer vacations and Christmas.  After the passing of Leta Ann, he planned special vacations to bring the entire family together.   He had a special love for Solomons Island, MD and going to his “cottage” at Chesapeake Ranch Estates where he had fished, crabbed, and enjoyed his boat until selling it a couple years ago. He volunteered for the Olney Kiwanis Club helping with Toys for Tots each Christmas. He worked part time in real estate and managed a small collection business.  He also was a greeter/usher at Oakdale Church.  He ate lunch most days at the Greene Turtle in Olney, enjoyed playing Keno and watching the Green Bay Packers.

He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and attended as many games as he could.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed deeply by the family.

Relatives and friends may visit on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 10am to 11am at Oakdale Church, 3425 Emory Church Road, Olney, MD 20832. Funeral Services start at 11am at Oakdale Church.
