Pauline "Polly" Blevins Andrakakos

Pauline “Polly” Blevins Andrakakos, 95, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend, died peacefully at her Silver Spring, MD home on Friday, September 9, 2022, surrounded by her beloved family.

Polly was born on April 4th, 1927 to the late J. Walter Blevins and Anna Beulah Shatley Blevins in Ashe County, NC. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gus W. Andrakakos, as well as four sisters and one brother.

Polly is survived by her three children, William (Lissa) Andrakakos , Valencia (David) Lewis, and James Andrakakos, her four grandchildren, Christopher (Alexandra) Andrakakos, Konstantine (Celia) Andrakakos, Alexandra (Brandon) McGaha, and Victoria (Garrick) Rumley, and three great grandchildren, Donovan Rumley, Lily Rumley, and Olivia McGaha, as well as her sisters Wanda (Bob) Egly and Willa (Phil) Schlegel.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am – Noon at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church 701 Norwood Road Silver Spring, MD 20905 followed immediately by a funeral service. Funeral services will be live streamed starting at Noon at http://www.schgoc.org.  Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 13801 Georgia Ave. Silver Spring, MD after the service.

Memorial contributions may be made in Polly’s memory to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
