Paula Serpas De Ruiz

In loving memory of Paula Serpas De Ruiz, age 87, who went home to the Lord on September 18, 2023.

Paula was the living wife of Antonio Ruiz. She is survived by her 9 children: Alfredo Serpas, Nelson Serpas, Julia Ayala, Antonio Serpas, Virginia Serpas, Jose Serpas, Tomas Serpas, Reynaldo Romero, and Reyna Romero. She also leaves behind 29 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Paula was born in Jucuapa, El Salvador, on September 17, 1936. She immigrated to the US in 1978 to provide a better life for her children. Throughout her life she had faced many challenges and difficulties, but she remained strong, determined, and stayed true to her faith. She was loved by so many and respected by everyone she encountered. She will be remembered by her family as a God loving woman who poured her love and soul into her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Viewing services will be held at Barber Funeral Home on Monday September 25th from 5-8pm. 21525 Laytonsville Rd Gaithersburg, MD 20882

Mass will be held on Tuesday September 26th at 11 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. 9000 Warfield Rd Gaithersburg, MD 20882

Burial will be held on Tuesday September 26th at All Souls Cemetery at 1 pm. 11401 Brink Rd Germantown MD 20876.
