Neva Elaine Kimble

Neva Elaine Kimble, age 70, of New Market, Maryland passed away on Monday evening, June 12, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones.

Neva was born to the late Henry Franklin Norwood and the late Anna May (Boteler) Norwood on August 1, 1952 in Anniston, Alabama.

Neva was married to Dennis Larry Kimble Sr. on June 19, 1971. She was a loving mother to three children, and a doting grandmother and great grandmother. Neva enjoyed her time working as a school bus aide in Howard County. She loved her dogs, especially her Yorkshire Terriers. She enjoyed taking trips with Dennis and loved their many weekend getaways to Pennsylvania. Neva also loved going on family vacations with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Burntwoods Church in Glenwood, Maryland and had a confident faith. 

Neva was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer in May of 2022. She battled her cancer bravely and from the moment of her diagnosis onward she always had a smile on her face and an upbeat perspective. She was always more concerned with others then she was for herself.

Neva is survived by her husband Dennis Larry Kimble Sr; daughter, Kimberly Ann Kimble and her three children, Chelsea Alberts, Timothy Pappas, and Joseph Pappas; daughter Denise Marie (Kimble) Corrick, husband Brian and their four children, Kaitlyn Corrick, Emma Corrick, Alexandria Corrick, and Owen Corrick; sisters, Donna Chandler, husband Doug, Sandra Lanning, husband Coy; brother, Brian Norwood, wife Susan, and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Larry Kimble II and brother, Henry Franklin Norwood Jr.

Visitation and Funeral will be held at Burntwoods Church, 

14135 Burntwoods Road

Glenwood, MD 21738. 

Visitations - Friday, June 16  2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00

                    Saturday, June 17  10:00-11:00

Funeral - Saturday, June 17 11:00

Interment - Union Cemetery, Burtonsville, MD
