This obituary is all about a Godly Christian woman, Naomi Elizabeth Blucher Miller (Betty, Mommy, Mom, Nanaw, Nan), 92, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, born November 12, 1932. She met her Redeemer December 12, 2024.
Mom was the heart of our home and family. She raised five children and left her loving touch on fifteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She loved each of her own children, their spouses, her grandchildren and their spouses, her great grandchildren, every single member of her Blucher family, Daddy’s family, her quilting group, her hairdresser, her high school classmates, her church families in her own special way, and kept in touch with them, baked for them, cooked for them, checked in on them when they were sick, grieved with them when they suffered a loss. She modeled service to others. And it didn’t matter who was in need; she was right there trying her best to fill that need. She was a prayer warrior. She was full of life, fire, compassion, love—the Matriarch. Mom especially loved babies and children. She was a faithful nursery worker; but it wasn’t work to her—it was a joy. She loved quilting, flowers and keeping her landscaping looking beautiful with blooms. She was a tireless worker and kept us all in line. She was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be dearly missed.
We are CERTAIN that when she met Jesus at the door of Heaven He said to her, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ Matthew 25:23
