Mildred B. Dameron

Mildred B. Dameron, 98, of Olney, MD passed away peacefully on February 9, 2023.  Daughter of the late Otis W. Brown and Louise Keller Brown and widow of the late Clyde F. Dameron, she is survived by two daughters, Joanne D. McFarlane of Olney, MD and Nancy L. Dameron of Olney, MD and one granddaughter, Kimberly McFarlane Torelli of Lake Worth, FL.
 
Born in Wheatfield, VA, Mildred (Millie) had a smile that could light up the sky.  Originally a cosmetologist in Winchester, VA, Millie later worked for the National Geographic Society in the Administration Division.  Between employers, Millie was devoted to raising her two daughters which she always considered the greatest joy of her life.
 
At the time of her passing , Millie was a resident of the Brooke Grove Assisted Living facility in Sandy Spring, MD where she was a happy, enthusiastic resident and made some of the richest friendships of her life (including her cat, Daisy) .  Millie was dearly loved by her family, friends, and community and she will live in their hearts forever.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Norbeck Memorial Park in Olney, MD.
