Marjorie “Janet” Pastros, 83, of Brinklow, MD, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Born on July 1, 1938, in Friendship, VA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jackson Frye and Gladys Robinson Frye. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty DeBusk and Mary Taylor.
Janet studied at Emory & Henry College and was a cheerleader for the Wasps. She was a member of the Olney business community as she worked many years at Sandy Spring National Bank and Community Radiology Associates where she retired in 2010.
She was an avid sports fan and a longtime season ticket holder of the Washington “Redskins” and Baltimore Orioles. She traveled to many Super Bowls with her husband and amazing friends.
Janet had a heart of gold and made everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. She was always on the go with her family and many wonderful friends. She lived life to the fullest and every moment spent with her was filled with fun and laughter.
She is survived by her loving husband Joe Pastros of Brinklow, MD; three children, Connie Baisey (Bill) of Laytonsville, MD, Jackie Spear (Dave) of Olney, MD, and Bobby Burgess of Damascus, MD; six grandchildren, Joey Torrey (Nikki), Steven Baisey, Jennifer Young (Ben), Allison Baisey, Kelly Baisey, Brandon Burgess, two step-grandchildren Christina Dickerson (Bill) and Bill Baisey, Jr. (Aida), and one great grandchild Victor Torrey.
She is also survived by her brother Jack Frye (Glo) of Kingsport, TN, many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Salem United Methodist Church in Brookeville, MD. While flowers are accepted, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice in her name.
