Margie Elizabeth Shepard

Margie Elizabeth Shepard, of Gaithersburg, MD, was born on March 14, 1935, in Marion, VA. She passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025, with family members by her side.

Margie was married to the Rev. Charles E. Shepard for forty-nine years, until his passing.  She raised two daughters in addition to fulfilling her duties as a Pastor’s wife. She was a lifelong member of the Church of God and faithfully served the Lord for more than sixty years.

Margie leaves behind by her daughters, Cynthia Kay Jones (Terry) and Donna Shepard, both of Gaithersburg, MD. She also leaves behind three grandchildren: Angela Jones of Mount Airy, MD, Jason Jones (Kissy) of Mayport, PA and Mandi Wyndham (J), of Gaithersburg, MD. She also leaves behind her beloved great-granddaughter, Yassmin Salem.

A service to celebrate Margie’s life will be held at Barber’s Funeral Home in Laytonsville, MD on April 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Prior to the service, the family invites you to visitation from 12:00-1:00 PM. The burial at Parklawn Cemetery in Rockville, MD will begin at 2:30 PM.
