Lucia Milagro Lemus

Lucia “Milagro” Lemus, 62, of Gaithersburg, MD, beloved wife, mother, sister, and daughter, passed away on August 16, 2024. She was born in El Salvador on March 3, 1962. Milagro was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria Arias and Maria Argelia Lara, as well as her siblings, Roberto Antonio, Marta Marina, Joseph, Francisco, and Tomas (Tito). 

Milagro is survived by her loving husband Sergio Antonio Lemus, her four children, Sergio Alexander Lemus, Danny Antonio Lemus, Karen Milagro Lemus, and Ronny Jose Lemus, and four grandchildren Danny Antonio Lemus Jr., Jowell Messiah Lemus, Adeline Milagro Lemus, and Izaiah Samuel Lemus. She is also survived by her brother, Dario Arias, her sisters, Haydee Escobar, Gloria Arias, Estebana Arias (Teba), Mery Arias, Kela Arias, Aleyda Perez and Carmen Arias, and her uncle Ricardo Lara.

Milagro was known for her deep devotion to God and her family. The love she held for her family and those she cared for can still be felt. Her strong devotion in the Catholic Church illuminated her path in caring for those around her. She was known as the “strong” one, never wavering through life’s toughest times and standing strong ready to steady the rest around her. If you needed her, she was there showing unconditional love rooted in faith. 

Relatives and friends may visit on Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 4pm to 9pm at the Roy W. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD 20882. A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 12:30pm at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 201 S Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg, MD 20877. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Germantown, MD.
