Leonard Raab Obituary

Leonard "Lenny" Martin Raab, 85, born in Brooklyn, NY to the late George and Leonora Raab, passed away on April 17th, 2025. He lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland with his longtime partner and love, Angela Raimondo, of Buffalo, NY. He is survived by his brother, Steve (Wendy) Raab, and sons, Andrew (Alexia), Scott (Karen) and George (Aimee) Raab. Predeceased by his sister, Helen “Pinki” Smith, whom he loved dearly. Also survived by his grandchildren: Raine, Madison (Justin), Olivia, Molly, Rylie, Adeline, Asher, and Alice; two great grandchildren: Liam and Louis, and many nieces and nephews. He loved with all his heart and wore many hats throughout his life - both literally and figuratively. Most notably (and hilariously) the black googly-eyed monster beanie which became his signature look. He will be missed by many and left us with stories that will live on in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Skin Cancer Foundation. The family is receiving visitors on Wednesday, April 23rd from 6pm - 8pm at the Roy W. Barber Funeral Home in Laytonsville, MD. An informal gathering will be held at the Rock Creek Tavern in Olney following visiting hours for friends and family to toast to Lenny.
