John B. Martin

John B. Martin, (78) passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 4th at his home in Damascus Maryland. Born July 3rd 1947 to his parents William and Phyllis Martin, he was predeceased by his parents, former wife Alice V. Gue, and siblings Rhonda Ford and (Ken Ford), Barry Martin and Richard Sr. Martin. He is survived by his children Nathaniel and his wife Heidi, Jeremy, Philip, and Michael, and grandchildren Christopher and Carissa. He is also survived by his remaining siblings Kevin and his wife Patti Martin, Elizabeth and her husband Garry Taylor, Paul and his wife Maria Martin, Mark and his wife Tracy Martin, Matthew Martin, Melissa and her husband Barry Beall, and Andrew Martin.

He grew up on his family's farms and graduated from St John's Prospect Hall High School in 1966. He served four years in the Vietnam war in the United States Air force. He was employed by Bechtel and later worked as a bus driver for the Montgomery School district. He loved going to car shows and Harley-Davidson.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at St Paul's Catholic Church in Damascus followed by mass at 11:00 a.m. he will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery in Germantown Maryland.
