Jimmy Maze Obituary

Jimmy Roger Maze, 75, of Rockville, MD, passed away on September 26, 2019.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Gail (Goddard) Maze, as well as his son, Jimmy R. Maze II, and his wife, Autumn Maze; as well as three grandchildren, Stephen Shaffer 22, Shelby Maze 16, and Jordan Maze 12 of Rockville, MD; as well as his son, Michael Goddard, and his partner, Sally Zweimueller of Rockville, MD.

The son of Lawrence and Minnie Maze, he was born in Bedford, IN. He was the youngest of 7 children.

In 1964 Jimmy went in to the Army where he achieved the rank of SP4 E4 (P). During his time in the Army, he received the Good Conduct Medal as well as the National Defense Service Medal for his service in Korea.

While in the Army, Jimmy was stationed at Arlington Hall Station where he met and fell in love with Gail (Goddard) Maze. The couple married on June 11, 1966 and were lovingly together for 53 years.

Jimmy dedicated himself to his family. Working as a carpenter for about 50 years gave him the tools to build and provide for his home. Jimmy worked on many buildings familiar to us today working as a commercial contractor in many local hospitals and office buildings in the DC metro area.
