Jerome (Jerry) Bennett Weinfield

Jerome (Jerry) Bennett Weinfield, 87, of Fayetteville, PA passed away on June 13, 2026. Jerry was a beloved husband to Alberta (Cissy) Weinfield for 57 years; father to his son Jerome Weinfield, Jr. (Marisa Zavislak) of Great Falls, VA and daughter Elise Williams (Todd Wiliams) of Damascus, MD; grandfather to KJ (Jordan Williams), Chase, Alexa, Ryan, Morgan and great-grandfather to Owen, Bethany, Nathan, and Eden. Gary (Annelise Baumgarten), their children Brooks and Brody, and Lynne Baumgarten, Jerry considered to be his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Morris and Ruth Weinfield, brother Arthur (Art), and great-granddaughter Aubrey Hope Williams.

Jerry was born on June 1, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY. When he was 6 years old, he and his family relocated to Arlington, VA. Jerry graduated from Wakefield High School in 1957, and after graduation he began working as a printer at a local print shop. He served in the Army April 1963-1965 and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. Following his military service, Jerry returned to Northern Virginia and was introduced to Cissy by mutual friends and co-workers at the Central Intelligence Agency, where they both worked. Jerry worked at C.I.A. for nearly 31 years, serving in a broad range of printing, logistics, support and managerial positions, ultimately rising to a senior executive level. He retired in 1994, then in 1995 he and Cissy moved to PA to begin their next adventure - retirement. Jerry loved to golf, travel and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In retirement, his golfing included regular rounds at his home course, Waynesboro Country Club, occasional trips to play world-famous courses such as St. Andrews, Troon, and Pebble Beach, and frequent outings with the Mulligans golf group, for which he served as Secretary then President for a number of years.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 1pm at Difference Makers Church, 11210 Bethesda Church Road, Damascus, MD, 20872. Afterwards the family will hold a reception for relatives and friends at The Clarks Lodge, 12011 Snowden Farm Pkwy, Clarksburg, MD, 20871.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
