James Romanchock, 76, of Rockville, MD, who passed away peacefully at his home on January 7, 2023.
Born in Cairnbrook, PA on December 19, 1946, Jim was the son of the late Charlotte (Polinski) and John Romanchock. Also preceded in death by brothers: Theodore, John, Charles, and Thomas Romanchock, and sister Dorothy Dooley.
He was the loving husband and Best Friend of Barbara Jefferson Romanchock. He is Survived by sons Dean, Kirk, Bert, Charlie and wife Katie. The love of his life were his grandchildren. Also survived by his care givers who became family Jose Hernandez and Marvin Escobar and their families. Survived by his chosen brother, Andy Carl Blasher, who has faithfully been by his side for the last 15 years during his illness. Also survived by many nieces and nephews that he loved so much.
Jim served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He began his career with the Montgomery County Police Department in 1972 and served proudly retiring 1990.
His family and grandchildren were of source of pride and delight, and he spent as many hours as possible with them. Jim was a Man of few words but had a huge heart that loved his family and friends unconditionally. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to St. Judes or the SPCA of your choice.
