James Patrick Counihan IV

James Patrick "Pat" Counihan IV, 27, of Laytonsville, MD passed away on December 15, 2020. He is survived by his loving parents, James P. Counihan III and Lorraine Pierce Counihan of Laytonsville, MD. Pat is also survived by his sister, Amy Elizabeth Counihan of South Carolina.  He is predeceased by his brother,  Luke Phillip Counihan. 

He was a graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School and attended college in Pennsylvania. Pat was an enthusiastic local sports fan, particularly for the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Ravens. In recent years, Pat worked in Annapolis in the food service industry.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2pm at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9000 Warfield Rd., Gaithersburg, MD 20882. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to The American Heart Association or St. Jude's Research Hospital for Children.
