James A. Carr, Jr.

James (Jamie) A. Carr, Jr., 66, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 13, 2025.  Born March 21, 1958, he was the son of the late James and Charlotte Carr.  Jamie is predeceased by his stepdaughter, Brandy.

Jamie is survived by his sister Louise (John); brother Bill; brother John; step-children Melissa and Tom; and seven nieces and nephews.

Jamie graduated from Sherwood High School in 1976.  After graduation Jamie pursued many occupations throughout the years to include small engine repair, a CDL driver, a mechanic and most of all farming.  In the last few years, Jamie spent most of his time on the farm taking care of his chickens and helping out with the horses and other farm animals.  He was especially fond of his rooster, Big Boy, and his horse Benny.

Jamie was a loving son, brother, stepfather, uncle and friend. He was known for always lending a helping hand, his humor and his kindness.  Jamie will be deeply missed and memories of him will be cherished forever.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 20th from 10:00-11:00 AM with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 AM.  A private burial will be planned for the family at a later date.
