James L. "Buzzy" Boxall, Sr.

James L "Buzzy" Boxall Sr of Gaithersburg Md passed away peacefully on Thursday August 28,2025. Buzzy was born February 6, 1946, in Gaithersburg Md to Thomas J and Blanch Virgina Boxall. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruthie Boxall, five sisters Louise Yankey, Shirley Boxall, Dorothy Ratliff, Bernice Allen, Edith Fink and one brother Butch Boxall. Buzzy leaves behind his son James L "Jimmy" Boxall Jr, daughter in law Gabrielle Tomlin Boxall, grandson Garrett James Boxall and great granddaughter Josephine "JoJo" Tomlin who affectionately called him her "Pap Pap". To know Buzzy was to love him, he was incredibly kind, amazingly funny, and extremely generous. To say he will be missed is a complete understatement. 

Relatives and friends may visit on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 10:30am to 11:30am at the Roy W. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD 20882. The funeral service will begin at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville, MD. Relatives and friends are also invited to the Outta the Way Cafe Rabbit Hole (event room), 17511 Redland Rd., Derwood, MD 20855 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm for a celebration of Buzzy's life.
