In Loving Memory of Helen Frances Kilmer

Helen Frances Kilmer, born on January 30, 1922, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Sunday, November 12th, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was the fourth of ten children born to the Stashko family in Binghamton, New York.

Helen's life was a testament to the enduring strength of family bonds. For over 70 years, she shared a profound and enduring love with her late husband, Lawrence J. Kilmer. Together, they weathered life's joys and challenges, creating a foundation of commitment and devotion that will be remembered for generations to come.

Helen's nurturing spirit extended beyond her marriage to her roles as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her loving children, Laurette Pietrosanti and her husband Peter Pietrosanti, and Larry Kilmer and his wife Jennifer Kilmer. Helen's legacy further thrives through her 13 grandchildren, each a testament to the love and values she instilled: Nicole Schaefer and Stephanie Pietrosanti in New York, and Christina, Joe, Michelle, Julie, Tommy, Steven, Matthew, John Paul, Larry, Rosemary, and Peter Kilmer.

Helen was a cornerstone of her family, offering unwavering support, wisdom, and a nurturing presence that will be dearly missed. Her life was a tapestry woven with love, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. The wake will be at 10 am Monday, November 20th followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at the Shrine of St Jude in Rockville, MD. The funeral will conclude with a ceremony at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Kilmer home.
