GRACE "GRACIE" KUYKENDALL
FAIRFIELD - Grace Kuykendall, 80, died unexpectedly April 30, 2023, at Gettysburg Hospital. She was born October 31, 1942, in Washington DC, the daughter of William and Ola (Costello) Sheppard. Grace graduated from Sherwood High School Class of 1960. She married the love of her life, Bob in October of 1994 and would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
She was predeceased in death by her parents. Surviving in addition to her husband Robert "Bob" are her brothers Dave Sheppard of Hagerstown and Sam Sheppard of Hagerstown, sister Helen "Bunny" Sheppard Higginbotham and husband Louis of Dunnellon, FL, son Scott Payne and wife Candace of Damascus, stepdaughter Tammy Donovan and husband Patrick of Mt. Airy, stepson Kenneth Kuykendall and fiancé Crystal of Laurel as well as four grandchildren, Kelly Payne of Damascus, Steven White and wife Lauren of Laurel, Christopher White and wife Stephanie of Virginia Beach and Logan Donovan of Winter Park, FL as well as two great grandchildren Blake White and Elliott White and many nieces and nephews.
A service/viewing will be held beginning at 10:00am Monday, May 8 at Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
