Geraldine "Geri" Eldridge Obituary

Celebrating the Life of Geraldine "Geri" Eldridge

Geraldine "Geri" Eldridge, a woman known for her spirited personality, dedication to her career, and unwavering love for her family, passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 82.

Born on September 12, 1943, in Lee County, Virginia, Geri eventually made Frederick, Maryland, her home for the past 15 years. She was a woman of vibrant interests—from the delicate beauty of butterflies to the thrill of a shopping trip with her nieces.

A Career of Connection

Geri was a dedicated professional who built a community wherever she worked. Her career highlights included:

Bechtel (1969–1998): Geri spent three decades here, forging deep, lifelong bonds. She cherished her "lunches with the girls," a tradition that remained dear to her long after retirement.

Xerox (1998–2008): Following her tenure at Bechtel, she continued her professional journey at Xerox for another decade.

Avon Ambassador: Geri’s social nature made her a natural fit as an Avon representative, where she enjoyed connecting with her community.

Family, Flavor, and Furry Friends

Geri was the heart of many family gatherings. She was famously prepared for any meal, never heading to a restaurant without her own bottle of hot sauce tucked in her purse. Above all, she loved her family fiercely. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Eldridge and Avery Irene Greer Eldridge; her sister, Carolyn Sue Boone; her nephew, Christopher Boone; and her beloved poodle companion, Jill.

She is survived and deeply missed by:

Brother: Carl Edward Eldridge and wife Maggie.

Niece: DeeAnna Struchen and husband James.

Nephew's Widow: Carie Boone.

Great Nieces: Tamara Eubanks (husband Michael) and Amanda Cargain (husband Kenny).

Great-Great Nieces & Nephews: Kaylan, Haley, Katie, Miley, Michaela, Nathan, Nolan, Kaylah, Kearah, and Kyle.

Geri also found great joy in dog sitting, sharing her home and heart with many four-legged friends over the years.

"She lived a life full of spice, style, and a love that fluttered as freely as the butterflies she so admired."
