Our father, Dorsey A Oland, A quiet gentle giving soul passed peacefully December 1, 2022 at home. Born January 12, 1934 he was the dedicated son of the late Millard A. H. Oland & Mildred L Patton Oland Dorsey was married, 59 years, to his beloved wife Mary Lou Howes Oland, who predeceased him in April 2013. 
Dorsey and his father owned and operated M A Oland and Son, landscaping business in the Laytonsville area for many years and raised beef cattle on the family farm. He was also very involved with the Damascus Lions Club; & had served as president & made many wonderful lifelong friends. 
Dorsey is survived by his daughter, Deb Moxley & husband Dan, of Sabillasville, MD, Daughter Linda Hagen, & husband, Keith of Tucson, AZ.  Dorsey was Pop to his granddaughter, Angie Moxley Kidwell & husband, Kevin of Monrovia, MD. Pop Pop to Great Granddaughters, Peyton Kidwell Henry, & husband, Austin of Rockledge, FL & Reilly Kidwell & fiancé Matt of Forest, VA.  Uncle Do to Larry L Daymude II & husband Richard, of Phoenix, AZ.   Scott Daymude & wife, Lisa & family of Monrovia, MD.  Jamie Daymude & family & Barbara of Monrovia, MD & Doe boy by all his Patton cousins. In addition to his parents & wife dad was pre-deceased by his sister, Jeanne Daymude & husband, Larry.
Family & Friends may call Friday, December the 9th  4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Barber Funeral Home 21525 Laytonsville Rd  Laytonsville, MD with services following Saturday, December the 10th at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery 515 S. Market St Fredetick MD.
