Donald E. (Don) Hill

On July 26, 2024, Donald Hill passed away at the Casey House, Rockville, MD at the age of 87.   He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Saundra (Sandy), his children, Scott (Lisa) Hill and Barbara Hill; grandchildren Braden (Brittany), Dustin (Kori), Keith and Genevieve and great grandchildren; Jackson and Camdyn.   Don was born in Columbus, Ohio, a graduate of Linden McKinley High School and The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy.  He served 30 years in the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, primarily at the US FDA where he was Director of Licensing at the Center of Biologics for over 10 years.   Upon retirement from PHS, Don formed DHAI Consulting, a business he would own for 24 years advising vaccine and biotech manufacturers on FDA licensing requirements.   Don was an active member of the Oakdale Emory United Methodist Church, Olney, MD for over 41 years.   Later, he became a devoted member of the Inter-Faith Chapel, Silver Spring, MD.   Don was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a concerned friend to many.   A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Inter-Faith chapel (Leisure World), Silver Spring, MD 3680 South Leisure World Boulevard, Silver Spring, MD followed by a reception at Don and Sandy’s home, 16216 Whitehaven Road, Silver Spring, MD.    In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made to the Inter-Faith Chapel Endowment Fund, Inter-Faith Chapel Organ Fund or Casey House, 6001 Muncaster Mill Road, Rockville, MD  20855.
