Dick Dea, 69, of Silver Spring, MD passed away on October 15, 2020. Son of the late Bing Fay Dea and Maria Amelia Choi Dea. Survived by his sister Jane Dea Sandusky (William) of Brookeville, MD, brother David W. Dea of Ashton, MD, and sister Ann Dea (James Prisbe) of Vienna, VA. Also survived by his nieces and nephews, Kevin W. Sandusky of Whitsett, NC, Jeffrey K. Sandusky of Gaithersburg, MD, Allyson M. Sandusky of Charlotte, NC, Lauren Prisbe of Arlington, VA, Michelle Prisbe of Vienna, VA, Jessica Prisbe of Vienna, VA, Christina Prisbe of Vienna, VA, Alan Sandusky of Atlanta, GA, and Brian Sandusky of Brunswick, MD.
Dick had a close relationship with his siblings and was passionate about spending time with his nephews and nieces, especially supporting their sports, activities, and interests. He enjoyed cooking and loved sharing his famous egg rolls, fried rice and cookies with family and friends. Other interests include Ocean City with family and friends, his casino adventures, poker games, and collecting dragons.
He worked up the ranks at Bell Atlantic as a frameman to managerial position. After retirement from Bell Atlantic, Dick served as an IT consultant for several years.
Interment George Washington/Mt. Lebanon Cemeteries.
