David Michael Swann

David Michael Swann "Mike", 63, of Germantown, Maryland passed away on January 23, 2024. Mike was a loving brother, father, and grandfather. 

Mike was born in Huntington, West Virginia on September 18, 1960, with his twin sister Debra Maxine Swann. They were born to Carl Hustus Swann and Lelia Maxine Wintz, along with two older brothers, Larry and Danny. Sadly, their brother Danny passed in 1975. Mike received his high school diploma in Maryland in 1984. Mike went on to marry Karen Ruth McCormick Swann and they became parents to their two children, David James and Chelsea Maxine. Mike raised his children, lived, and worked in the Maryland area until his passing. 

Mike worked as a plumber by trade and found side work as a handyman and maintenance worker. He also found joy in working on his cars and fishing with his family. He was a caretaker for his brother-in-law and took pride in caring for his grandchildren who lovingly knew him as "Pop Pop.”

Mike is survived by his twin sister Debra, two children David and Chelsea, and five grandchildren Cody, Peyton, Chase, Emma, and Eliana. 

All are welcome to join the family for a Celebration of Life to be held at Silo Falls in Brookeville, MD in the Great Room from 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
