David C. Healy, 79, of Derwood, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2021, following a long illness. Born on September 27, 1941, in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1964 with a degree in Pharmacy. During a career spanning over 50 years, he owned and managed several independent pharmacies in Gaithersburg, Mount Airy, Potomac and Rockville with care and concern for patients, customers, and colleagues.
Married for over 50 years to his loving and devoted wife, Mary Louise, he was preceded into glory by his son, Timothy, and is survived by sons David (Rebecca) and Brian (Cecily), and grandchildren David (Sarah), James, Mary Kathryn, Nicholas, Charlie, and Lauren Struzzi, and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Sister Michele, Bill, Steve, and Bonnie Genevro.
Due to ongoing health restrictions, a private memorial will be held at a future date, with a later internment at Parklawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his name to Montgomery Hospice.
