Consummate Caregiver

Cecilia (Cel) was born on March 6, 1928, in Baltimore, MD to Joseph and Josephine Hans. She was preceded in death by her brothers Joseph (Buddy) Hans, Francis (Franny) Hans, Eugene (Genie) Hans, and sister Michelle Wilson (living).

Cel and James E. Bussard Sr. were married on May 11, 1952, until his death on February 12, 2013.  Cel and James were blessed with three children: Cecilia Hamilton-Kerney, James Bussard Jr. (deceased), wife Donna Bussard and Rebecca Offutt.

Cel and James had five grandchildren: Christopher Hamilton, Nicholas Hamilton, Charles Offutt Jr., Lynne Offutt-Luthy, and Joseph Offutt. In addition, they also had three great grandchildren: Alexis   Luthy, Jeremy Luthy, and Melody Luthy.

Many thanks to Montgomery County JSSA who enabled Mom to remain in her home surrounded by her loving family; until she rose to join the so many loved ones that have gone before us.

Relatives and friends may visit on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 6pm to 8pm at the Roy W. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD 20882. A funeral service will be on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6701 Muncaster Mill Rd., Derwood, MD 20855. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville, MD.
