Obituary

Carolyn I. Lambie, passed away on Thursday, June 8th, 2023., daughter and son-in-law were with her when she parted.

Recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Carolyn faced this last challenge as she did most everything in her life---with dignity and grace.  She graced the life of her family, community and everyone who had the privilege to know her.  Mom lived her life with the idea of making wherever she was-a better place than when she found it.

In the short time she had after learning of her diagnosis, Carolyn created a “bucket list” of things she wanted to do including celebrating her spouse Robert’s 93rd birthday, Mother’s Day, spending time with cherished friends and family, attending a blessing for her much-loved granddaughter Miranda and her fiancé who will be married in January and having another visit with her 6 ½ month old great-grandson Linden. Carolyn is survived by Robert L. Lambie

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 71 years Robert L. Lambie, daughter and son-in-law Lauren and Richard Tharp, grandchildren Tom, Andy and Miranda and 3 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Carolyn to celebrate her life will be held at United Church of Christ of Seneca Valley  at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 25th, 2023.  The address is located at 13421 Clopper Rd, Germantown MD 20874.
