Lynn was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA where many of her extended family members still reside, moving to Silver Spring in 1956 when her husband obtained a job with the Naval Ordinance Laboratory. She worked at Vitro Corporation in Aspen Hill, MD before becoming a stay-at-home mother and homemaker until her children were out of grade school. Afterwards, she worked as the office manager for the International Institute for Vital Registration and Statistics until she retired.
She was a member of Argyle Country Club in Silver Spring for decades, where she played golf, and was an active member of the women’s nine holers. She loved to swim, garden, sew and cook. She liked to visit Denmark, where both her parents were born and raised and where extended family lives.
She is always remembered as kind, and funny. Showing an interest in the lives of all the people she met along her life’s path. She made sure to get to know her neighbors and made it a point to be in touch with family and friends. Her gentleness and smile made her memorable.
