To the Delmar family,
Gene was truly a treasure to remember. His sense of humor was a part of his character as well as his gentle nature. I hope that as the days pass, the fun and guidance that he shared will be your lasting memories of him.
Gene has joined his siblings and I can imagine the goings on up there!

It has been a real pleasure working with Gene on all the MCPS projects that Delmar Architects has produced for MCPS in the 25+ years I have been Architect for School Facilities. Gene was a total professional with a clever sense of humor. We shared a lot of good times and some great laughs, while accomplishing many fine buildings for the students of Montgomery County.
My sincere condolences to The Delmar family for the loss of their patriarch. Take comfort in all the great accomplishments, the long period of time he was around, and the many fond memories you still have.

Dear Delmar Family,

Please accept my deepest sympathy in your bereavement.  I was saddened to learn of Gene's passing.  I first got to know Gene (and David) twenty-eight years ago when I was principal at Springbrook HS and they did the building's modernization.  I have fond memories of some goose hunts together.  He was a good man and will be deeply missed.

My sincere condolences from my family to yours.  We all have fond memories of our years as your neighbors and our home that was built by Gene’s Dad and the garage which was latter designed by Gene. Those memories also go back to Gallitzin, Cresson, and Ebensburg, Mt. Aloysius, and Miss Bocci, my high school teacher!
I trust that all of you will find solace in your memories of Gene and his wonderful life.
