My sympathy to the family of Derick "Rick" Veenstra on the loss of your husband, father and grandfather.
Rick was a colleague and friend of mine at Capitol College from 1975 to 2014.
He was very skilled in his Vice President position and his work in finances is reflected today in the success of Capitol Technology University .

Thoughts and Prayers,

Charles A.Vergers

I remember Rick with fondest memories, esp. from all the beach trips he went on along with three other families.including mine. I remember him for his genuine love of music and his great sense of humor. He was always kind and loving. Thanks Rick for the great memories. You will be missed. Look over us as we go thru life. Thanks for always being a great guy.

To Rick's family and friends,
Rick was a familiar face at Capitol for many years. He did yeoman duty with the budget without losing sight of the human side of the numbers. That is a rare skill and one that Capitol, as a small school, was lucky to have during his tenure. Thanks, Rick. May you rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Rosalie Evans

Dear Terry and all the Veenstra family:
Linda and I are very sad at heart because of Ricks passing. We have known him and thru him all of his families over a period of 40+ years. Our kids all grew up together and so did we! He was a great friend and life will be less without him in it. He was a great guy and we will miss him.
Our prayers and thoughts are with the entire Veenstra clan during this trying time. God bless all of you- Larry and Linda Lauer

To Rick’s Family,
I would like to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of our dear Rick. I have such wonderful memories of our younger days playing co-ed softball, having beer and pizza after the games, getting together to have dinner followed by playing cards, and all the wonderful beach trips with our children in Stone Harbor. Thanks Rick for all the good times. You will be in our hearts forever. May all your wonderful memories of Rick and God’s Grace
bring you peace and comfort. My prayers are with you all. Love, Ann
