Mary B. Frye "Dot", 91, of Potomac, MD passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, August 25, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly fifty years, Earl C. Frye in 1993. She is survived by her son Thomas Frye of Laytonsville, MD, daughter in law Patricia Frye, granddaughter Lori F. Gibson and husband Michael and Grandson John T. Frye, great-granddaughters Katelyn and Alyssa Gibson and great-grandson Ryan Frye. Mary was born on May 15, 1927 in the family home in Potomac, MD. Also preceding her in death were brothers Ray and James Boswell and sisters Anna Robey and Isabelle Winner.

Mary's life was dedicated to her family and the generations of children who experienced her love, care and sense of humor over a fifty year career with the Rockville Nursery School. For decades after her retirement, she continued to receive cards and well wishes from parents and children who carried her memory into adulthood.

On behalf of Mary, the family would like to express particular appreciation to nieces Norine Boswell and Jean Fling for their many years of kindness and friendship.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11am at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 21720 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD 20882. Interment will follow at Laytonsville Cemetery.

We are never ready to part company, but we can remember how much Dot loved us. She gave the best hugs and was always ready to listen to our stories of good times and bad times. She gave her heart in her advice and it was the best of her. There was no better life teacher or friend. We loved her for being herself, we loved her laugh, we loved her "toys", we loved her shoes with the toe cut out, we just loved all of her and knew she loved us. She will be sorely missed here on earth, but we have gained an angel to love. Thanks to the entire Frye family for sharing Dot with us. Love always and forever, Kathy and Larry

You will forever be in my heart Aunt Dot. You showed so much love and had the warmest smile. I'll always remember the trips I made out to Boswell Lane to visit and chat with you. Say hello to my Pop-pop and Uncle Jimmy for me. I love you so much and I'll be seeing you.

Love Always,
Mandy

Tommy, Patty and Family our hearts are saddened by your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you. I have such wonderful memories of Aunt Dot. I will never forget her laugh and ability to bring that joy to everyone around her. She was very special to my Father and his eyes always lit up when he spoke of her. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy and is going to be sorely missed. I will always keep her and my memories close.
