Donald W. Abell

Donald W. Abell, 71, of Gaithersburg, MD passed away on December 22, 2018. Son of the late Bryan Jennings Abell, Sr. and Florence Davis Abell. Survived by his wife, Sandra L. Abell. Proud father of his sons Bryan J. Abell III (Jessica) of Virginia and Jason P. Abell of Colorado. Don loved to fish, hunt, and shoot skeet. He was also a huge Baltimore Ravens fan as well as Navy Football and Basketeball. Don had a lifetime career in Law Enforcement with Maryland Park Police, Montgomery County Division, as well as Bank of America and Montgomery General Hospital.

Relatives and friends may visit on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 10am to 11am at the Roy W. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Rd., Laytonsville, MD 20882, where funeral services will be held at 11am. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Germantown, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Second Chance  www.operationsecondchance.org, a local charity assisting our military and their families (Founder and President, Cindy McGrew).
