David Ray Sadtler
June 10, 1955 – July 21, 2018
David Ray Sadtler, age 63, passed away on July 21, 2018 at the Kline Hospice House in Mt. Airy, Maryland. He is the son of the late Charles E. Sadtler and Betty J. Monteith. David is survived by his daughter, Emily Howe, and her husband, Gardner of Washington, D.C., and twin grandsons Wesley and Henry Howe. He is also survived by his brothers Stephen Sadtler, and wife Kathi, of Monrovia, Maryland and Robert Sadtler, and wife Cindee, of Monrovia, Maryland and by his sister-in-law, Carla Sadtler of Apex, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Sadtler. David was born and raised in Clarksburg, Maryland. He was a resident of Plant City, Florida for many years where he worked for IBM. He later moved to Apex, North Carolina where he worked in the heating and air conditioning industry.
David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, gardening, cooking, taking care of animals, and watching and playing sports. He was a graduate of Gaithersburg High School and Frostburg State University. Honored recently and inducted into the Gaithersburg Hall of Fame, David exceled in football, basketball, and baseball during his high school years. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. He will be truly missed by many.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at Providence United Methodist Church, 3716 Kemptown Church Road, Monrovia, Maryland on Saturday, August 11th at 11:00 am. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 am prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service at Kemptown Park.
