Archie L. Ray, Sr.

Archie L. Ray, Sr., 80, of Gaithersburg, MD passed away on January 8, 2019. Son of the late Calvin H. and Thelma Burriss Ray. Survived by his wife, Georgia Ray, as well as his three children, Archie Ray, Jr. of Damascus, MD, Michael E. Ray (Laura) of Mt. Airy, MD, and Teresa Ann Hunt (Vance) of Mt. Airy, MD. Also survived by four grandchildren, Erica Ray (Mark), Cody Hunt (Courtney), Brendan Ray (Shannon), and Mackenzie Hunt; four sisters, Deloris Tolley of Rockville, MD, Patsy Burriss of Silver Spring, MD, Linda Atwood of Silver Spring, MD, and Judy Thompson of West Virginia; and numerous nephews and great-nephews who thought of him as their "Dad". He was loved by all those who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 1pm to 4pm at the Damascus American Legion, 10201 Lewis Dr., Damascus, MD 20872.
