Frank Molino passed away surrounded by loved ones on February 3, 2024. Born on June 23rd, 1942 in West Virginia, Frank was the beloved husband of Carolyn. He was pre-deceased by his parents early in his life and raised by his Uncle Russell and Aunt Mable. Frank is survived by his wife Carolyn, brothers-in-law David Reece and Larry Reece, sisters-in-law Stella Underwood and ReuAnn Reece as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Frank was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing, crabbing, camping and his dogs. Although he and Carolyn did not have children of their own, they had 4 “fur” babies, their dogs Patches, Pebbles, Annie and Saddie. They also had gardens from which they entered items that they had grown for exhibit in the Montgomery County Fair where they won numerous awards. He was an active member of the American Legion and the Frederick Saltwater Anglers.
Growing up in West Virginia, Frank showcased his strong work ethic by doing odd jobs for people in the town as well as working at the town grocery store. He loved football and received a Varsity letter from Webster Springs High School before graduating in 1962.
Following High School, he moved to Maryland where he met and married the love of his life Carolyn in March of 1964. The Army drafted Frank in 1964 where he honorably served from 1964 – 1966 in Germany.
When he wasn’t working around the house, Frank could be found on their boat fishing with Carolyn and their “fur” baby by his side. An accomplished angler, Frank enjoyed captaining his boat up and down the bay and estuaries off of Chincoteague Island where he and Carolyn had a camper setup each summer.
A Viewing will be held at Barbers Funeral Home in Laytonsville, MD on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. Funeral services will be held on February 19, 2024 at 1:00pm at Barbers Funeral Home followed by Interment at the Laytonsville United Methodist Church cemetery.
