Connie “Gigi” Arlene Dyess Edsinger was an amazingly remarkable woman who truly touched the lives of everyone she met. It is with heavy hearts that we announce her passing. On April 12, 2024, Connie gained her angel wings too soon, at the age of 64. She was a passionate and cherished educator of children for 26 years. Her infectious laughter, quick wit, and unwavering love for her family will forever remain in our hearts. Connie was a genuine free spirit, who was never afraid to embrace life and color outside of the lines.
Connie is preceded in death by her father, George Dyess, and is survived by her mother, Betty Farr (Gary Farr), son Ross Edsinger (Sarah Edsinger), daughter Nicole Hurst (George Hurst), their father Michael Edsinger, brother Tony Dyess (Leonor Dyess), grandchildren Madison, Ethan, Jordan, and Zachary, nieces and nephews Tony, Jackie, William, Michelle, and soul sister Linda McCabe, as well as numerous other beloved family and friends.
Please join us to celebrate and remember Connie’s life on Saturday, April 20th in Laytonsville, MD. A viewing will be held at Barber Funeral Home at 10:00 am, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 am.
