Anthony Paul Wadsworth

Anthony Paul Wadsworth, known affectionately as Tony, was born on August 11, 1938, in Wheeling, WV. He peacefully passed away on February 23, 2024, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 85.

Tony lived a life filled with love and devotion to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawerence Edward Wadsworth and Mary Elaine (Wilson) Wadsworth, and his beloved wife, Sylvia Stine Wadsworth.

He is survived by his three children, Karen Lee Watson, Wendy Lee Wadsworth, and Rocco Scott Wadsworth, who will always carry his memory in their hearts; his caring brother, Arthur Lawrence Wadsworth; his five loving grandchildren, John Anthony Wilkinson, William Joseph Watson, Jr., Laura Clare Wadsworth, Lydia Bagley Wadsworth, and Ella Grace Wadsworth. His four great-grandchildren, Luke James Wilkinson, Kelsey Brooke Wilkinson, Trey Anthony Wilkinson, and Rocky Dean Wilkinson, will continue to cherish the memories shared with their loving great-grandfather.

Relatives and friends may visit on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 10:30am to 11:30am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4101 Norbeck Rd., Rockville, MD 20853, where a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30am. Interment will follow at Norbeck Memorial Park in Olney, MD. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the Lombardi Cancer Center at MedStar Georgetown Hospital.

Tony’s kind spirit and unwavering love for his family will forever be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his legacy of love and dedication continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
